PG - 60-3 AB - The cellular and systemic immunity has been evaluated in 203 women 6 months and 1, 2, 3 and 4 years following surgery for benign epithelial ovarian tumors (BEOT). The women were in the age range from 18 to 40 years. Immune and endocrine disorders in the postoperative period and recurrence of BEOT or onset of other reproductive tract diseases indicated that the operative removal of the tumors did not eliminate a cause of the disease. Women with a history of surgery need a follow-up for early detection of reproductive dysfunctions and their correction with hormonal and immunomodulating drugs.
