PG - 27-30 AB - Immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) is the paradoxical worsening of pre-existing infectious processes after commencement of anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in HIV-infected patients. Its manifestations are dependent on the underlying opportunistic infections.
