The frequency of HLA-B13 was increased in melanoma patients compared to controls and was particularly common in nodular melanoma HLA-B61 was decreased in melanoma patients. Almost 50% of acral lentiginous melanoma patients expressed HLA-B51 compared to 0% of nodular melanomas.
